Mr. Mohammed Amirul Haque is a dynamic, results-oriented business leader with over four decades of experience across shipping, logistics & supply chain, stevedoring, ship owning, commodity trading, cement manufacturing, petroleum products refining, LPG terminal & distribution, edible oil refining, agro-food, soya seed crushing, agriculture & horticulture, shrimp hatchery, and real estate. As the Founder, Managing Director & CEO of Seacom Group, he has built and guided a diversified portfolio of enterprises employing more than 5,000 people across nine plants in Narayanganj, Munshiganj, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Khulna, and Mongla. He is also the Founder & Managing Director of Premier Cement Mills PLC, where his leadership has driven operational excellence, growth, and industry recognition.

Philanthropist and prominent industrial entrepreneur, Mr. Mostafa Kamal, son of late Al-Haj Noor Miah, was born in a humble Muslim family in Chouddagram, Cumilla in the year 1955. After completing his bachelor’s degree in 1976, Mr. Mostafa Kamal dipped his toes in the commodity trading business under the banner of “Kamal Trading Company” and achieved great success within a short period of time. The profit made in that exercise enabled him to pursue his dream as an entrepreneur.

Mr. Mostafa Kamal used to import commodities from abroad in limited scale and marketed them in the local markets. But he was not happy with the cost and standards of imported commodities. In the year 1989, he had taken endeavor for setting up industries and subsequently became a successful and leading entrepreneur of the country by establishing Meghna Vegetable Oil Industries Ltd.

Since then Meghna Group of Industries has been setting up at least one factory every year producing and marketing various fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) & commodities such as bottled drinking water, sugar, edible oil, salt, tissue, paper, seed crushing, fish and poultry feed, chemical, cement, power plant, other bulk and industrial products under the brand name of ‘Fresh’, ‘Meghnacem Deluxe’, ‘No.1’, etc. Moreover, the group has shipbuilding dockyard, shipping, securities, general insurance, media, aviation and several other businesses. The group is pioneer in the private sector for establishing economic zones in Bangladesh.

Mr. Mostafa Kamal is also engaged in various voluntary social welfare activities to uplift the socio-economic condition and uphold the cause of humanity in the society. He has been holding prestigious positions in various business arena as well as social welfare organizations. He is recognized as the Honorary Consulate of The Republic of Korea. Many hospitals including Central Hospital Limited, The Barakah General Hospital are sponsored by Mr. Mostafa Kamal. He also patrons many schools, colleges, and madrasahs including Al-Haj Noor Miah Degree College, Mostafa Kamal High School, Al-Haj Ayesha Noor Welfare Foundation, Kankapaith Madrasah, Al-Haj Ayesha Mohila Madrasah, etc. He is also the founder and member of the Board of Governors, The People's University of Bangladesh and Foundation for People's Education. He has also received various awards, recognition and accolades for his outstanding contribution to industrial development of Bangladesh.

Mr. Ahmed Akbar Sobhan is one of the Chairman of Bashundhara Group. He graduated in Business Studies from the University of Dhaka. He founded Bashundhara Group back in the 80s, which is now a leading Industrial group of Bangladesh. Bashundhara Group (BG) now consisting of more than 07 dozens of companies comprising of moderate to heavy industrial and business units. His leadership, commitment, and vision placed this group in a formidable position and Now BG emerged as one of the biggest industrial and commercial conglomerates in the country.

He is also the Chairman of East-West Property Development (Pvt.) Ltd., Bashundhara Paper Mills Ltd. Meghna Cement Mills Ltd, Bashundhara Industrial Complex Ltd., Bashundhara Food & Beverage industries Ltd., East West Media Group Ltd., Bashundhara Multi Paper Industries Ltd. Bashundhara Infrastructure Development Ltd., East-West Special Economic Zone Ltd., Bashundhara International Trade Center Limited, Bashundhara Cement Industries Ltd., Bashundhara Agricultural Products Ltd., Dhaka Multi Agricultural Complex Ltd., and many other companies of the group.

Mr. Ahmed Akbar Sobhan was the Chairman/President of many financial institutions, Trade organizations and trade bodies including Bangladesh Paper Mills Association, Bangladesh Land Developers Association, Bangladesh Cement Manufacturers Association, etc. He was also a member of the general body of FBCCI, DCCI, ICC and currently serving as the Chairman, Ondine Committee or REHAB.

He received many accolades, at home and abroad, in recognition of his excellent Business leadership, performance and remarkable contributions in the socio-economic fields, international understanding, conflict resolution and bringing peace, including President's Gold Medal in 1994, Kazi Nazrul Islam National Award in 1992, Moulana Bhasani National Award in 1993, Arthakantha Business Award in 2001, USA Summit International Award in 2002 and Janata Bank Prime Customer Award in 2002 and Agrani Bank Best Client Award in 2010, Mother Teresa International Canonisation. Award in 2019, Kolkata's St Xavier's College Prestigious Award Dashabhuja Bengali 2019, Information Communication Entertainment (ICA) Award in 2019 given by the Bengal Film and Television Chamber of Commerce, Franchise India organized Indian Retail Award and Indian E-Retail Award 2019. He was a sportsman and now a sponsor of sports of this country. He is the owner of Bashundhara Kings, a leading Sports Club in Bangladesh.

He is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bashundhara Foundation and the Chief Patron of Afroza Begum Welfare Foundation. These Foundations have been working tirelessly for the betterment of the poor and unprivileged people of this country. Shankar Kumar Roy,

Mr. Shankar Kumar Roy is the Executive Director (ED) at Bangladesh Cement Manufacturers Association (BCMA), the apex body representing the Cement Industry in Bangladesh. Mr. Shankar Kumar Roy is a Management Consultant and Corporate Trainer. He is also engaged as a panel consultant at KPMG Advisory Services Ltd. In 2021, he concluded a big consultancy assignment with UNDP. He joined as an Advisor (Research and Planning) at M.I. Cement Factory Ltd. (Crown Cement) on 1^st January 2016 and continued till June 30, 2020. Before joining Crown Cement Group, he had served at Holcim Cement (Bangladesh) Ltd (Holcim) and its predecessor, Hyundai Cement (Bangladesh) Ltd, for more than 16 years. During this long service period at Holcim, he had performed a wide variety of responsibilities, which include Business Planning, Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, CSR, Marketing, Communication, ISO Management System, Project Management, Business Risk Management, Environment, Safety, and Business Development etc.

He holds an M. Com degree in Accounting from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He also obtained an International Diploma in Supply Chain Management (SCM) from ITC/UNCTAD/WTO, Geneva, Switzerland.

He is widely known as a professional corporate trainer by providing practical, interactive, and fun-filled activity-based training to the corporate sector and training institutions through training programs, workshops, and seminars. He has conducted numerous trainings and has 19+ years of experience in training. His area of specialization in training includes Marketing & Sales, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, and various Soft Skills.

He was awarded as the “Trainer of the Year 2018” recognition by ITC (International Trade Center), Geneva, Switzerland, at a gala event in Beijing, China, on 1st November 2018.

Mr. Roy is actively involved with various Professional Associations like former Executive Committee (EC) member of Switzerland Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SBCCI); President of Supply Chain Alumni Society (SAS), Dhaka.
